Willingboro Summer Mathematics 2022While there are no formal summer assignments for summer 2022, many of our students would benefit from additional support. In part, this is to help address some of the learning "lost" due to the Covid pandemic, and in others, it is simply to support the skills that they may need practice in.
To this end, we ask that all students continue working in MyPath (individual intervention software) for a minimum of one hour per week. Students looking to increase their level of comfort, confidence, and competence before next school year are encouraged to spend more time in MyPath and xtramath.org. Also, please check back, as new options may become available and will be posted here. Invitations for students to attend specific summer sessions are in the process of being sent out. If you have questions, feel free to send me an email: [email protected]. Thank you! Sincerely, Michael Braverman Supervisor of Mathematics Willingboro Public Schools Listed below are thoughts, ideas, and activities to help students and families reinforce mathematical skills throughout the summer. There is sufficient variety to challenge students of all ages and ability levels. Find games and activities that work with your children's age, grade, and conceptual levels.
Summer is coming. How do we prepare for next school year, knowing everything that happened during the Covid-19 pandemic?
We know that school between March 13, 2020 and June 2021 was less than ideal. We understand the challenges that many students and their families faced during this pandemic. We know that teaching still went on, but there were many challenges that affected learning. Throughout the summer, we know that the staff will be working to prepare as much as possible to help facilitate a "return to normalcy." We strongly encourage students to work as well, to help us accomplish this. Please watch this area closely, as there will be summer assignments this year, as well as suggestions to help students regain anything that they may have lost (or missed) during our distance-learning time. How can I prepare my child for next year?

Road Trips Ask questions like: How far... How fast... How long will it take? How much gas will we use? How much will the gas cost? What is the cost per person? Consider the following: If you are planning a trip, consider having the kids plan it. Give them a budget (the most you want to spend). Have them research all of the costs involved: transportation, admission, food, etc. |
